Victor, the leading global managing general underwriter (MGU), today announced the appointment of Arno Wijnands to the position of country manager, Victor Netherlands, effective immediately. Mr. Wijnands will be based in Rotterdam and report to Tim Carter, global chief underwriting officer, Victor.
Mr. Wijnands is joining Victor from Marsh Netherlands and brings over 30 years of industry experience to the role. Prior to Marsh, which he joined in 2023, Mr. Wijnands held various advisory and management roles at leading organizations such as Aon, SAA, and SUREbusiness.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Carter said: “Arno's wealth of experience across several insurance sectors and insurtech business models is a great fit for our business in The Netherlands. His strong leadership skills will be instrumental in further enhancing the underwriting expertise and efficient platforms Victor offers that are so valued by our carrier partners, brokers, and the insureds we protect.”
