Protection for contractors and project owners

This product is designed to protect contractors and project owners for damage to the insured project as well as damages to third parties arising out of construction operations.

It features the Builders Risk and Wrap-Up Liability policies that can be purchased together or individually.

Small construction projects that meet the following criteria are eligible for this product:

  • Total project cost up to and including $2,000,000
  • The project building is of steel on steel or better construction (note that projects on wood frame buildings are ineligible for coverage)
  • The project duration is no greater than 12 months

  • Builders Risk, also commonly referred to as Course of Construction (COC), is intended to cover the value of the labour and material as it accumulates at the insured project site.
  • Wrap-Up Liability, covers the legal liabilities of the owners, contractors and consultants at the insured project site.

  • Insurance tailored for the construction and renovation of non-combustible buildings
  • "One-stop shop" for Builders Risk and Wrap-Up Liability insurance
  • No restrictive warranties
  • Projects up to $2,000,000 in construction value
  • Primary Wrap-Up policy limit up to $5,000,000
  • Minimum premium starting at $900 per policy
